Among the best and highest Italian winemaking expressions produced from international red grape varieties, Bolgheri excels, a type that has revolutionized the history of Italian enology since the second half of the twentieth century. The red wines of Bolgheri have generous aromas, which tell of the splendid territory from which they are born: Tuscany. Not far from the famous Viale dei Cipressi dominated by the castle in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci, one of the most evocative and photographed places on the Tuscan coast in the province of Livorno, real masterpieces are born, such as some of the most famous and sought-after Italian red wines in the world. Among these are Ornellaia, Masseto and Grattamacco, which are part of the Bolgheri DOC Denomination. The Sassicaia of Tenuta San Guido di Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta, on the other hand, has a DOC of its own, the DOC Bolgheri Sassicaia.
